Silver Creek, California
Silver Creek is a small to medium size creek that is home to mostly Rainbow Trout, which share the feeding
lanes with a few Brookies. This is a classic small rod, dry fly creek. Silver Creek can yield a lot of fish, but
nothing very big. If you can pull a 15 incher out of here, you have done well. Perhaps you'll catch some
larger fish near the confluence of Silver Creek and the East Carson River.
Located in Alpine County, California, Silver Creek flows north along Hwy 4 into the East Carson River.
Flowing off the slopes below Ebbets pass high above, there is approximately 8 miles of fishable water.
There is some private property so be aware of your surroundings and posted markings. For the most part,
though, Silver Creek runs alongside the highway and has easy access.
